Bandleader, vocalist, film actor and radio/Broadway/television performer Art Jarrett (1907-1987) signed this light green album page in blue ink sometime in the 1930s.
Jarrett performed with several orchestras before forming his own in 1936, including those of Red Nichols, Jimmie Noone and Ted Weems. He introduced several hit songs in the movies, including "Let's Fall in Love" (1933), "Everything I Have Is Yours" (1933) and "I've Got a Date With a Dream" (1938). From 1933-38 he was married to Olympic swimming gold medalist Eleanor Holm.
Signed boldly in blue ink: "Best Wishes Art Jarrett." Excellent condition, was neatly folded in half for mailing purposes. No doubt as to authenticity.
