"Whisperin' Bill" Anderson is one of the most successful country music songwriters in history, penning tunes for such artists as Ray Price, Wanda Jackson, Jim Reeves, Connie Smith, Lynn Anderson, Eddy Arnold, Roy Clark, Conway Twitty, Kenny Chesney, George Strait, et al. His own recorded hits include "The Tip of My Fingers," "Mama Sang a Song," "Still," "Golden Guitar," "I Get the Fever," "Happy State of Mind," "Quits," "World of Make Believe," "The Dream Never Dies," et al.
Anderson was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville in 2001. He is also a member of the prestigious Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
